Daily tours: Berlin and surrounding areas

Our Day Tours are in Berlin and Brandenburg, the countryside province surrounding the capital city of Berlin. Our Day Tours take place in the north, east, south and west of Berlin. You will discover unknown bike paths, beautiful country roads and sites and historic places of 'German History'. These daily tours are from 20 to 40 km long and we have chosen them with families and small children ( from 6 years old) and best agers in mind, as well as groups, school classes, company excursions or people who love to cycle with other Berlin visitors. The level of difficulty is from easy to moderate. We at Cycle Green Day Tours have put special emphasis on including enough time for stops to enjoy the country side, multiple attractions and coffee and lunch breaks.

Berlin Wall Tour

4 Days-160 km

 "Where was the Berlin Wall?"

This is a question often asked by our guests and even young Germans and Berliners. The answer will be found along our Berlin Wall Tour.  It is over 160 km long and showcases to our guests, the reminders of the years of German division of it's capital Berlin, and the surrounding countryside between Berlin and Brandenburg.  This tour starts at Cycle Green Tours base at the 9th of  November 1989 Memorial on  Bornholmer Street. From there we follow the Berlin Wall trail along the course of the former Wall, biking south through the inner-city of Berlin towards the international airport Berlin-Brandenburg. Following the trail west to Potsdam, and then biking north all the way to Spandau into the north of Berlin through the districts of Frohnau, Pankow, Wedding.  We end the tour heading south back to our starting destination at Bornholmer Street.

Berlin-Usedom-Ahlbeck

Berlin-Usedom-Danzig

On this tour you will be bicycling through 3 different provinces in Germany, as well as the Baltic coast of Poland.  Passing through nature park Schorfheide witnessing the ship lifting facilty at Niederfinow, ruins of the Chorin Monestary and  cycling along old city walls.   This peaceful stretch to Usedom has us cycling through pine tree forests, quiet villages, little lakes and hopefully you can catch a glimpse at cranes or Grey Herons flying over Lake Werbelin.  We ferry across a lagoon to Usedom and make our way along kilometer long sandy beaches to Poland.  There we travel through shifting dunes, sea side resorts and Hanseatic trading ports from medieval times.  All this under endless skies.

Berlin-Stettin-Danzig

Traveling with the train from Berlin to Stettin. We start this tour biking along the River Oder and its low lying areas. Over quiet secondary roads, we pass through ripe fields and pristine forests, and a Bison National Park. As we encounter the Baltic sea and ocean smells for the first time. Wide sandy beaches, old church ruins and signs of coastal erosion by the years of sea and sun, capture this coastline for kilometers. This truly is appropriately called "The Polish Sahara". Taking time to explore the ancient and vibrant city of Danzig, as we approach this tours end.

Cycle Green Tours, based in Berlin is the only bicycle tour company with a greek partner situated in the heart of the Messinia, Kalamata. We specialize in tours throughout the southern Peloponnese. We cover all facets of touring and levels of challenges from easy, moderate to advanced. 

Description:

Our guided cycle tours in the southern Peloponnese start in the port city of Kalamata, home of the famous Kalamata olvies and capital of the province of Messinia. Our travels will take us to the quaint seaside fishing village of Kitiries, known for it's rugged terrain, hidden gorges and endless olive groves. We will ride on multiple day trips to the cities of Koroni, Finnikounda, Methoni and Pylos passing Byzantine churches, Frankish castles, endless sandy beaches while riding along hilly coastel roades. For our experienced mountain bikers and road racers we have challenging downhill tours over mountain ranges reaching peaks of 1250m at the Mt. Taygetos.
